Dan Aimone

President & Co-founder

Dan is the President and Co-Founder of MaPo Builders and holds his General Contractor’s License in the State of Florida. He is passionate about building relationships at all levels of the business, helping clients achieve their goals, and seeing projects come to life. Dan has over 20 years of construction experience and advanced into leadership positions at both large national general contractors and small local firms. This diverse résumé allows him to provide a tailored and nimble approach to construction while employing structured processes and procedures that deliver a consistent client experience. He has a history completing historic renovations, hospitals renovations and additions, medical office/clinic/surgical centers, high-end tenant improvements, restaurants, build-outs for non-profit organizations and more.

 

Dan graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Construction Science and currently serves on the Board for the Salvation Army of Broward County.

Maria Aimone

Administrator & Co-founder

Maria is the Administrator and co-founder of MaPo Builders where she manages day-to-day operations. She values the skill it takes to build something and views every project as an opportunity to work with people from all walks of life. Maria has 30 years of experience working for interior designers, developers, construction managers, general contractors, tile and granite contractors, and construction-focused nonprofits. Companies include Forney, Skanska, Broaddus, Linbeck, SpawMaxwell, and Turner. Her range of experience has allowed her to gain insight and develop better communication methods throughout the industry. Project highlights include ground-up hospitals, imaging centers, large retail complexes, prison campuses, major granite and tile installations, and more.

Maria graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture. In the community, she enjoys volunteering locally with Life the Life South Florida and GCWS (Gold Coast Watercolor Society) as well as other art scenes in south Florida.

Manuel Posada

Superintendent

Manuel has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial and industrial construction sectors. He has extensive experience as a project manager and a deep knowledge of expense forecasting, ground-up builds, project buy-outs, supervision, executing multi-million-dollar projects, closeouts, and more. He has a unique ability to balance multiple project tasks and continue to prioritize client relationships and consistent communication. Some of his design-build and interior commercial projects include Waste Management, Washington Mutual, DuPont, The Houston Galleria, and BASF, among many others. Manuel graduated from the University of Houston with a BS in civil engineering. 

Manuel enjoys spending his time with his grandchildren and working on cars. He also Volunteers at Calvary Christian Church in Hollywood, Florida.

Stephen Long

Superintendent

Stephen is a seasoned Project Superintendent focused on delivering high-quality spaces for MaPo's clients. As the primary point of contact on site, he manages subcontractor sequencing, the development and implementation of a project-specific safety plan, and a rigorous quality control program. He has a background in plumbing and is a registered Plumbing Apprentice. After attending Southeastern University he leaned into his passion for boating by spending a year as a yacht handyman. He provided regular maintenance on the diesel engine, installed new hydraulic steering systems and established electrical wiring to accommodate yacht-wide audio/visual technology. Stephen is a Salvation Army Corps Cadet graduate and active volunteer for The Salvation Army.

Mike Castronova

Project Engineer

A native Floridian, Mike has 13 years of commercial construction experience.  Mike has completed over 30 projects for global Fortune 100 financial institutions, earning a long list of repeat and referral clients. He has also completed ground-up, renovation, and addition projects in the retail, hospitality, corporate office, and restaurant sectors. Mike attributes his meticulous focus on quality control and aggressive scheduling to the fact that he began his career as a commercial subcontractor, giving him a thorough understanding of the entire construction process. As Project Engineer, Mike will work alongside the Project Manager to provide project documentation, maintain the schedule, organize and track submittals, and distribute up-to-date information to subcontractors. Mike holds his Plan Reading and OSHA 10 and 30 hour certificates. Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Mike spends his weekends perfecting his golf game, fishing in the everglades, and exploring the local restaurant scene.
